    Discover the magic of ancient tales
    This 3 km circular hiking trail boasts a few eerily beautiful, mythical figures: A series of hand-carved figurines and illustrative panels introduce four fascinating characters from the local world of legends, myths and tales. A leisurely stroll for all ages framed by breath-taking views of the Dolomites, our very own UNESCO World Heritage Site. (Free with Guest Pass)

    Mountain farmer Seppila`s Schnapps seminar
    Tasting of homemade mountain schnapps and liqueurs with homemade South Tyrolean bacon and bread “Schüttlbreatl”. The production of grappa, the difference between schnapps and liqueur and many other interesting details from the world of spirits are explained. (10€ with Guest Pass)

    From milk to cheese
    The Val Casies Valley features the smallest open-access cheese dairy in all of South Tyrol, where visitors can watch farmer Sepp turn the milk from his own farm into mouth-watering cheese and dairy specialities and taste a wide range of lovingly and carefully crafted products.     Sunrise at the foot of the Three Peaks
    Shortly before sunrise is where the magic happens: This most intense time is called the “blue hour”. Hike from the Auronzo mountain inn (2330m) to the Forcella Lavaredo-Paternsattel pass or to Forcella di Mezzo-Mittlere Scharte (approx. 50 minutes) and around the Three Peaks all the way to the Malga Lang Alm inn. Return by bus. Please remember to pack sufficient food and drinks as well as warm clothing. (42€ with Guest Pass)

    Hike to the top of Monte Calvo Golfen 2493m
    Transfer by bus to Franadega-Frondeigen near Dobbiaco and climb to the peak on a three-hour hike for stunning 360° panoramic views. The two-hour descent runs across the top of Rosskogel 2163m. Backpack provisions. (Free with Guest Pass)

    Hike to Welsperg Castle with guided tour
    Castel Welsperg is the oldest and most fortified castle found between Brunico and Lienz (AUT). First mentioned in 1167, this unusual castle is characterized by it’s extraordinarily high and lean castle keep. Short hike from the village centre of Monguelfo to the castle with guided tour (3€ with Guest Pass)

  • Friday

    Local, home-made delights with a view
     Hike to the panoramic pastures of the Uwaldalm inn (2042m) and savour the tender, juicy meat of the Original Gsieser Almochs cattle – a truly unique culinary delight. The 700 kg mountain oxen are bred in line with strict tradition and in small numbers by local farmers in the Val Casies Valley. (15€ with Guest Pass)

    Barefoot hiking fun
    Hiking barefoot on soft forest soils, through the crystal clear waters of the Rudlbach stream and along special barefoot-walking paths strewn with different materials to encourage sensory perception is not just great fun but also has a whole host of health benefits. (5€ with Guest Pass)

  • Tuesday

    Mill-walk Goala
    Hike along the “Goala Kirchsteig” trail to the Gailerhof. Behind the location of the old farm next to river “Goalabach”, there is the reconstructed and fully functioning mill. From there towards “Lettnerhof”, where you can visit a traditional bread-baking oven. Hiking guide Peter tells all kinds of interesting facts about the topic: The traditional processing from grain to bread. Backpack provisions. (5€with Guest Pass)

    The smuggler’s trails of Val Casies Valley
    Exciting stories and historical facts on the smuggling trade at the cross-border between the Val Casies Valley and the Villgraten Valley (A). The “old path” leads us from Val Casies Valley/S. Maddalena, to the Kalkstein Jöchl and continues to the Gailspitze (2494m) with a view to the legendary Three Peaks. Descent to Kalkstein in Villgraten Valley (A) and return journey with hiking bus.     Via Ferrata on the Monte Paterno
    Easy climbing route on the Paternkofel at the Three Peaks. You can get to the mountain hut Auronzo by bus. Our mountain guide gives you an introduction into modern climbing technology; assessment of dangerous situations and many tips and tricks to get safe and have fun on the steep terrain.     E-Bike Tour to the alpine hut Taistner Hinteralm
    With the e-bike in the direction of Guggenberg with a magnificent view of the Dolomites, continue through dense larch and stone pine forest to the rustic alpine hut Taistner Hinteralm 1995m. Stop for refreshments at the alpine hut Taistner Vorder Alm. (5€ with Guest Pass; E-Bike rental not included)

    Mountain Tour to the Piz da Peres 2507m
    Located on the western fringe of the Valdaora Dolomites, the 2507m Piz da Peres peak offers magnificent panoramic views. Transfer by bus to Passo Furcia-Furkelpass and hike to the top (approx. three hours) for some unforgettable 360° views of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Park, the Zillertal Alps and Hohe Tauern ranges.     Dolomites alta via trail no. 3
    From Prato Piazza (1991m) to the alpine hut Prato Piazza and then a short descent to the malga Stolla hut (1940m). On a beautifully laid out hiking trail with short serpentines towards the alpine hut Rossalm. Several short ascents and descents. There is also a exposed passage with hand rope protection. After about 3 hours we reach the alpine hut Rossalm (2165m; refreshments available).  Return on the mountain path to Brückele. Option: Ascent to the summit of the Kleiner Jaufen (2375m), approx. 200m.  (10€ with Guest Pass)

    Autumn stroll through the Val Casies Valley
    A relaxed stroll past stunning old farmsteads that offer fascinating insights into the tradition of breeding Original Gsieser Almochs cattle. Set off from the top end of the Val Casies Valley and walk along the Talblickweg trail offering scenic views of the valley, then reward yourself with a few mouth-watering nibbles and drinks to round off an unforgettable day out and about in the colourful autumn landscape.     Hike to the top of Croda Rossa 2817m
    From Passo Stalle (2052m) in the Anterselva-Antholz valley, this three-hour hike runs all the way to the top of Croda Rossa-Rote Wand (2817m). The peak plateau leaves plenty of room for majestic views out onto the surrounding mountains. Weather permitting, the vistas stretch as far as the Ortles-Ortler massif, Großglockner and Großvenediger. Backpack provisions. (Free with Guest Pass)

    The play of colours of the glowing larches at the alpine hut Stumpfalm
    The play of colours in nature is unique in autumn. The alpine hike leads from the top of the valley in the Val Casies valley/S. Maddalena to the alpine hut Stumpfalm 1968m. On this tour you can marvel at the play of colours of the glowing larches. Possibility to stop for refreshments. (Free with Guest Pass)
