From what time can I check in on the day of arrival, and until what time must I check out?
Check-in usually begins at 2:00 PM. For check-out, we kindly ask you to leave the room by 10:30 AM at the latest.

How can I reach the hotel, and is there parking available?
The hotel is located in a quiet area at Unterplanken-Puregg 2, 39030 Pichl (Gsiesertal, Pustertal) in South Tyrol. Free parking and a hotel underground garage are available for guests.

Is there a shuttle or transfer service from/to the train station or airport?
We offer a free shuttle service from Welsberg train station for our guests. To organize your transfer as smoothly as possible, we kindly ask you to inform us in advance if you wish to use the shuttle service – ideally providing your arrival time, pick-up location, and number of people. An additional fee applies for transfers from Bolzano Airport.

What meal services are offered at the hotel?
You will enjoy a 3/4 board, consisting of: a rich breakfast buffet, coffee, homemade cakes, and warm soup in the afternoon, and in the evening a salad and appetizer buffet followed by a 4-course menu with choice options.

What kind of cuisine can I expect – are there vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free options?
Yes – our cuisine focuses on regional products and sustainability. We offer vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free menus, as well as specialties from South Tyrolean and Mediterranean cuisine.

How are the rooms equipped? Are there balconies or terraces?
All rooms and suites feature a balcony or terrace, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, TV, hairdryer, and wellness bag. All rooms are furnished with local wood and have wooden floors.

Are there different room categories – what distinguishes them?
Yes. The rooms and suites differ in size and amenities, offering the perfect comfort for every need. Examples: “Nature Room Summit” (approx. 34–37 m²), “Alpine Nature Lodge” (44–48 m²).
Highlights include the “Nature Jacuzzi Suite” with a whirlpool on the balcony and the “Panoramic Wellness Suite” with a private sauna.
Particularly suitable for families is the “Chalet Waldblick”, which features two separate bedrooms, providing plenty of space and privacy for both adults and children. -
Is the hotel child- and family-friendly?
Absolutely. The hotel offers family rooms and suites, a children’s pool, a playground, and recreational activities.

Are pets allowed?
Dogs are warmly welcome at our hotel – we charge €20 per day (without food). Please inform us about bringing your four-legged friend when booking.

What does the wellness & spa offer include?
The wellness area includes: panoramic indoor pool, outdoor saltwater pool, saunas (Finnish and bio), aromatic steam bath, Tyrolean “Brechelbad”, Sky Lounge, infrared loungers, “Luis Trenker Cabin”, beauty and massage area.

What activities are available in summer?
In summer, you can enjoy: guided hikes in the Gsiesertal, numerous mountain bike and e-bike trails, via ferratas, cozy alpine huts for a break, sunny locations, and pure nature.

And in winter? Are there skiing or cross-country opportunities?
Also nearby are ski and snowshoe hikes, toboggan runs, and a village ski lift for families, beginners, and advanced skiers. Trail tickets are conveniently available at our reception, and we are happy to assist with booking ski lessons.
In winter, several charming alpine huts in the Gsiesertal are open, where you can relax, enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes, and take in the beautiful views of the snow-covered mountains.

What about sustainability and regional origin?
The Alpine Nature Hotel Stoll holds the “South Tyrol Sustainability Label – Level 3”, committing to responsible use of resources. Sustainability is embraced holistically – through waste reduction, the use of regional materials, sustainable construction, and purchasing local products.
In the kitchen, the hotel places special emphasis on regional and fresh ingredients: many products come from the hotel’s own farm or local producers. The natural wood furnishings from local forests further highlight the connection to the surrounding environment.
Thanks to the quiet location in the midst of nature, the cross-country ski trail directly at the hotel, and the hotel ski bus, guests can enjoy their vacation largely without using a car.

Is there e-bike rental or charging stations for electric cars?
For our active guests, e-bikes are available for rent – at an additional cost of €35 per bike per day. Additionally, we offer mountain bikes that can be borrowed free of charge.
The hotel also has several e-charging stations on-site. The price per kilowatt hour is €0.60.

Can I book excursions or guides at the hotel?
Of course, we offer guided hikes in both summer and winter: three times a week, the hotel organizes its own hikes, complemented by a varied activity program with additional sports and adventure options. Our hiking guide provides helpful tips and information to guests once a week. Of course, information and brochures about excursions, hikes, and activities in the surrounding area are always available.

What are the cancellation conditions?
For cancellations up to 31 days before arrival, 10% of the total will be charged. For 30–15 days, 40%, for 14–8 days, 60%, and for cancellations less than 8 days before arrival, 70%.
We recommend our guests take out travel cancellation insurance to avoid unexpected costs in case of cancellation.

Is there Wi-Fi and mobile reception in the hotel?
Yes – free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Mobile reception is generally good, occasionally depending on the natural surroundings.

Are there special offers for couples or romantic stays?
Yes, we offer our guests two special rooms for romantic stays: the Panoramic Wellness Suite with a private sauna and the Jacuzzi Suite with a whirlpool on the balcony. On request, we are also happy to decorate the table according to your wishes, making your stay especially atmospheric.

Is the hotel accessible for people with disabilities?
Our hotel is barrier-free accessible. All public areas, rooms, and the wellness area can be easily used by guests with reduced mobility. Please let us know any special requirements in advance.

What measures are currently in place regarding hygiene and safety?
We place great importance on cleanliness, hygiene, and proven safety standards. In special situations (e.g. pandemic regulations), we will inform you directly in advance.

Is there a tennis court or other sports facilities on site?
Our hotel features a fitness room and several playrooms for children and teenagers, including billiards, table tennis, and darts. Behind the hotel, a recreation area with a Kneipp facility invites guests to relax. Nearby, there is a tennis court, and in the neighboring village, just a few minutes by car, there are padel and football courts. The village also offers several outdoor playgrounds for children.

When can I reach the hotel by phone?
You can reach us by phone at +39 0474 74 69 16, daily during the season from 07:30 to 23:00. When the hotel is closed, we are available Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00. Missed calls will, of course, be returned promptly.

Yes, we have several charging stations for electric cars. Additionally, there is a bike storage room where e-bikes can be conveniently charged.

How far is the hotel from the ski area / hiking trails?
Our hotel is ideal for hiking and cycling tours, as the trails start directly from the hotel. The cross-country ski trail also begins right at the hotel, and the village ski lift is located just next door. All major ski resorts are reachable within approximately 20 km.

Is free rental equipment like snowshoes or mountain/hiking backpacks available?
Our hotel offers backpacks, trekking poles, snowshoes, crampons, and sleds for our guests to borrow free of charge.

Is a tourist tax or municipal tax charged?
A tourist tax of €4 per person per day is charged for the Gsiesertal holiday region. Children up to 14 years are exempt. The tax is collected at the end of the stay and is not included in the offer.

How warm/hot are the saunas and pools in winter?
The outdoor pool is heated to 35 °C in winter, and the indoor pool to a comfortable 30 °C. The Finnish sauna reaches 80 °C, the bio sauna around 50–60 °C, and the steam bath at 40–50 °C is perfect for relaxation.

Are yoga or meditation sessions with mountain views offered?
In summer, a weekly yoga class in the nature park is offered (for a fee). In both summer and winter, our sauna masters hold a weekly evening sound bowl meditation (included in the price).

What indoor activities are available in bad weather?
If the weather isn’t favorable, our hotel wellness area offers a comfortable way to relax. Enjoy various spa and massage treatments for body and mind. Alternatively, you can visit a museum, such as the Messner Mountain Museum, or go shopping in the historic center of Bruneck.

How accessible are the trails in winter?
One can generally expect good conditions. There are numerous marked winter hiking trails and well-prepared forest and alpine paths. In case of unfavorable weather, it is recommended to bring appropriate equipment (e.g., non-slip shoes, gaiters, possibly snowshoes) and to check the trail conditions in advance.

Yes — in the Dolomiten Panorama Region Gsiesertal‑Welsberg‑Taisten, a “Romantic evening lantern hike with campfire magic” is offered, taking place as a winter hike or snowshoe walk depending on the snow conditions.

Are there initiatives where guests can help protect the mountains or local flora?
The South Tyrol CleanUP Days initiative: volunteers go on hikes through the valley, collect litter in nature (e.g., bottles, packaging, cigarette butts), and actively help keep the mountain environment clean.

Can guests arrive early or depart late if arranged in advance?
Yes, early arrival or late check-out is possible by arrangement. With an early arrival on the booked day, guests can already use the wellness area. For a late check-out without room use, a fee of €30 per person is charged; a locker in the changing area is provided, and guests can enjoy the wellness area and afternoon buffet for the entire day. A late check-out with room use is only possible subject to availability.
